I'm on a Valentine crafting kick this week. Today I made a quick and easy craft using items from The Dollar Tree.
I bought three of these LED flameless candles. I love these candles. I buy them all the time to decorate with. They last a really long time and I don't have to worry about remembering to extinguish them.
I used my Cricut to cut some pretty pink self-adhesive vinyl that I got from Pick Your Plum last Spring.

Don't have a personal cutting machine or vinyl? No problem. You could cut them free hand from some pretty scrapbook paper, tissue paper and Mod Podge them on. You could also use stickers.
I used the Fancy French box that I made, but just turned it around so the words wouldn't show. I scattered the little hearts around inside and placed my new candles in.

Let's take a look with them lit.
Not bad for $5.00.

DeleteHi Laurie, The candles are great! Saw them over at Debbie's and Shannon's Valentine's party and wanted to pop over. I have all of these flameless candles from a recent wedding and NOW I can do this! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Cindy, Thank you for stopping in. Seriously this is one of the easiest things I've ever made.
DeleteLaurie, I tried this at Christmas with permanent vinyl and it would not stick to my flame less candle. :( Please tell me what you did to get your vinyl to stick and did you use the permanent vinyl?
ReplyDeleteThanks in advance for your help!!!
Hi Julie. Thanks for visiting. The vinyl I used I had purchased from Pick Your Plum last Spring. It was an assortment of self-adhesive pretty spring colors. I don't believe it is permanent as it peels right off the candles easily, but it stays put. No sliding or falling off. Hope this helps.
DeleteJust a note to say hi, and I love how these turned out!
