It's Giveaway Time

It's finally here.............my first giveaway.  Price Chopper grocery store contacted me and asked if I would be interested in trying several of their products in exchange for me writing a post and hosting a giveaway.  Of course I said yes!  Who wouldn't.  This is what you can win.

Central Market Steak sauce, Southwest Caesar dressing and Lemon Herb Fish & Seafood Rub

On Saturday I used the Central Market Lemon Herb Fish & Seafood Rub on Tilapia.  I have to admit I'm not much of a seafood person.  Haddock and Tilapia are about the only fish I like.  I mixed the rub with a tablespoon or so of olive oil.  I really didn't measure.  I just wanted it to be paste like.  Then I brushed it on both sides of the filets and put in the oven at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

I served it with asparagus and sweet potato fries.  I do have to say I thought it was a little too salty, but then again what is usually the first ingredient in a rub................salt!  I scraped it off the fish, and it was fine.  Flavors still went into the fish.  I don't cook with a lot of salt, so that may be why my taste buds were hiding.

Sunday I decided to make some beef kabobs and a simple salad.

The Central Market Steak sauce was delicious!  And I'm just not saying that, it was!  It is also nice and thick.  Some steak sauces are a little too runny, but not this one.  I will definitely buy this when I run out.  The Southwest Caesar dressing was also great.  Nice and creamy with just the right amount of southwest kick, not too much.
