I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but here it is snowy and cold. Perfect crock-pot sloppy joe weather. Yes, you could open a can of sloppy joe mix, heat it up in the microwave and call it a day, but let's face it, that canned crap is no good for you. This recipe is so easy and delicious.
First you're going to brown 3 lbs. of ground beef (I use lean), 1 cup chopped onion, 2 cloves minced garlic and 1 cup chopped green pepper.
Drain off fat and combine beef mixture in crock-pot with 1-1/2 cups ketchup, 1/2 cup water, 4 tablespoons brown sugar, 4 tablespoons mustard and 4 tablespoons vinegar.
Mix well, cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
Spoon onto hamburger buns and enjoy.
Thanks for stopping in.
