Snowman Christmas Card

I have seen many versions of this card and decided to give it a try.  I used my Cricut and the following cartridges to make this card:  Joys of The Season, Christmas Cheer, Gingerbread and Snow Friends.  I used the ornament card from Joys of The Season and just cut off the ornament top.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the greenery on his hat, sparkly brads from Oriental Trading and cardboard buttons from CTMH that I covered with black card stock.  I used an ordinary hole punch for the mouth pieces and of course I covered all the white with white glitter from the dollar bin at Michael's.  The final touch was stamping the greeting inside.  I think it turned out kind of cute.

Joy Banner

So, I admired this banner when I went to a CTMH Open House and decided to make my version.  I used my Cricut, which I absolutely LOVE, to cut the triangles.  I used the George Basic cartridge for the triangles and letters.  The snowflakes are felt ones from Stampin' Up.  I applied red Stickles to make them sparkle.  I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the O into a wreath.  I thought the Y looked like a tree crook so I used the Harmony stamp set from CTMH to make the cardinal and nest.  Colored them with pencils.  The scallops were also cut with my Cricut.  I used a Martha Stewart border punch called goopy goo, which I got on clearance, to make the icicles.  Couldn't resist making them sparkle with Stickles.  That's it for today.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

New Stamp Pad Organizer

OMG!  I'm so excited.  CTMH (Close To My Heart) is having a great deal for November.  If you order $100 worth of merchandise you not only get the SOTM (Stamp of the Month) FREE, but you also get to pick a second stamp set FREE.  Yes, I said FREE.  I chose this opportunity to treat myself to their gorgeous stamp pad organizer and it arrived yesterday morning.  I was ecstatic.  Right away I filled it up.  Isn't it beautiful!  No, I don't work for CTMH, but I sure LOVE their products.

A Little Bit of Fall

This is an Autumn decoration I made. To begin with I picked up these wooden unfinished squares at Michael's. Not sure what they would be used for, maybe making coasters? I covered them with paper from Close To My Heart. Using my Cricut I cut out the letters, pumpkins and corn. I found the paper flowers in the dollar bin at Michael's. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes and then weaved some ribbon (don't remember where I got that from; probably my own personal stash) through the holes to connect it all and there it is.

Christmas Card for Mojo Monday 163

This is the first time I've participated in Mojo Monday. I thought it would be fun. I used red cardstock that I had on hand. The green gingham is from DCWV Homemade Christmas stack. I used my Cricut to cut the scallops. The Christmas Tree stamp is Close To My Heart's Evergreen. The green ribbon is from Wal-Mart. Now that I see it I think I should have chosen another color for the ribbon. The pine cone diecut is K&Company. I used gold Stickles for the star.
